Solo developer Morph has released a playable demo for the upcoming PC title Trillionaire Mercenaries of 21XX on itch.io. The game draws inspiration from Metal Gear Solid V and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, set in a cyberpunk world where climate change has submerged the Earth in the year 21XX.
Gameplay centers on stealth missions where players act as mercenaries for the ultra-wealthy. Mechanics include marking enemies, utilizing optical camouflage, scanning faces for impersonation, and neutralizing patrols. Players can also recruit stunned enemies to the Stillwater base, a system reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid V that allows for unlocking over 100 playable characters.
The game features an open-world ocean exploration component, allowing travel between islands, futuristic cities, and resorts via boat, hang glider, or light bike. Additionally, the full story will support two-player local split-screen cooperative play, enabling players to coordinate separate infiltration strategies or divide roles during missions.
Online multiplayer modes, including competitive play and light bike racing, are also planned. While the current demo is available only in English, the full version is scheduled for release on November 9, 2027, and will include Japanese language support.
