Riot Games has unveiled the 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour schedule, featuring over 50 tournaments spanning 15 cities. The season will culminate in Austin, which is set to host the Champions tournament for the first time, alongside the Game Changers Championship.
The competitive structure introduces new qualification routes, with Open Qualifiers beginning in November 2026. While partner teams in EMEA, Americas, and Pacific receive direct entry to regional Kickoff events, they must compete against advancing open teams for subsequent tournament spots. Chinese organizations will receive specific invitations to Kickoff and Cup events.
The season includes a global calendar of events, starting with Kickoff in January 2027 across São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok, and Hangzhou. Subsequent stages include Masters events in Seoul and Valencia, plus two Cup series held in various international cities. Riot Games has allocated over $7m in total prize money for the season.
To support emerging talent, open teams qualifying for specific stages will receive financial assistance, ranging from $100,000 for Kickoff or Cup appearances to $400,000 for reaching Champions. Anna Donlon and Leo Faria noted that these Open Qualifiers are intended to allow local competitors to challenge established players and progress through the professional circuit.
