The Summoners War World Arena Championship 2026 (SWC2026) Asia-Pacific Cup is scheduled for October 17 in Bangkok, Thailand. South Korean representatives ECK and BEAT.D will compete for a spot in the World Finals, which will take place on November 14 in Seoul.
ECK, a long-time player making his first SWC main stage appearance, aims to gain experience and secure a quarterfinal victory. He specifically identifies YEONHONG-187 as a major threat and looks forward to his match against VISHA. Meanwhile, 2018 world champion BEAT.D returns to competition after coaching, motivated by a desire to reach the World Finals again. He plans to utilize light and water attribute Taoists to achieve his goal of winning the regional cup.
The tournament introduces a new 'stack ban' rule, which significantly impacts competitive play. ECK notes that this rule has increased the required pool of monsters and complexity of pick-and-ban strategies by two to three times. BEAT.D adds that the rule forces players to diversify their combinations, as core strategies can be completely blocked, making the selection of monsters a key focal point for spectators.
