NCSoft has officially opened pre-registration for the upcoming Aion update, which introduces the Drakhan as the game's first playable dragon-kin race. This content is scheduled to launch on October 21.
The Drakhan race features a unique dual-form combat mechanic. Players can switch between human and dragon forms by consuming a resource called Rage, which accumulates during combat. The human form utilizes orbs for magical attacks, while the dragon form focuses on powerful area-of-effect damage to suppress multiple enemies.
Alongside this update, NCSoft will launch a second world based on the Aion remake, which originally debuted in May. This remake project includes significant overhauls such as an automated hunting system, class reworks, and adjustments to inventory and crafting mechanics.
The new world includes growth support for returning and new players, offering gear rewards and redesigned early-game hunting zones. Safe zones have also been implemented to allow for uninterrupted hunting. Pre-registration remains open on the official website until October 20, with participants receiving a new cape item and various consumables.
