In a recent interview with RPG Site, Kaho Shibuya reflected on her diverse career path, transitioning from a newspaper reporter to a prominent streamer, cosplayer, and voice actor. Shibuya, who retired from the Japanese adult video industry in 2018, emphasized that her professional shifts were organic, driven by a desire to embrace new challenges rather than remaining stagnant.
Shibuya’s gaming interests are deeply rooted in turn-based RPGs and beat 'em ups. She cites "Star Ocean: The Second Story" as her personal favorite from her youth, while praising "Octopath Traveler II" as a recent standout. Her passion for gaming led to her involvement in "Pirate Yakuza" and "Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds," where she contributed voice acting and character concepts, including a unique bread-based weapon idea for the latter.
Regarding her public image, Shibuya noted that she actively avoids dwelling on her past, preferring to focus on current projects. She expressed that while she does not hide her history, she finds it uncool when interviewers fixate on it, as it hinders the ability to discuss her present work in streaming and hosting.
Currently, Shibuya balances her streaming career with event hosting and exhibit management. She remains eager to explore new opportunities, including potential future voice acting roles, while maintaining a private life that prioritizes personal recharge time over the social demands of her public persona.
