Serial Games announced that the fantasy puzzle game Puzzle and Magical Overlord will be released on Steam on October 20. The game is set in a world where demons avoid conflict by settling disputes through a puzzle game called Magikrave.
Players compete to become the Demon King by connecting Mana Blocks and Magic Wand Blocks to trigger spells. Successful spellcasting allows players to send Monster Blocks to an opponent's board to disrupt their play, while clearing these blocks is essential for survival.
Each character possesses unique skills reflecting their personality, ranging from clearing blocks to disruptive effects like shuffling the board or increasing drop speeds. These varied abilities are designed to allow even beginners to turn the tide of a match.
The game features a Story Mode, a Mission Mode with challenging objectives, and a Survival Mode against increasingly difficult CPU opponents. The title is priced at 1900 yen.
