Key information
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Ace Combat 8: Wings of Ceave will receive update Ver.1.01.002 on October 23. The patch notes confirm adjustments to enemy behavior, specifically targeting the flare usage of the Shadow 22 squadron encountered in Mission 28.
The Shadow 22 squadron, led by the antagonist who downed the protagonist and Lieutenant Colonel Cope, became notorious for their use of flares. While players are typically limited to approximately eight flares depending on their aircraft, the Shadow 22 unit appeared to have no limit or an excessively high count, leading players to describe the tactic as infinite flares.
The upcoming patch will impose a limit on the flares available to the Shadow 22 squadron. Additionally, the update includes adjustments to the difficulty of Radone in Mission 15 when playing on ELITE difficulty or higher, alongside fixes for various bugs that previously hindered mission progression.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Ceave is currently available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players are encouraged to consult the official patch notes for a comprehensive list of all changes and improvements included in this release.
