Nippon Ichi Software has unveiled the contents of the second free update for the life simulation game Hono-Kurashi no Niwa, scheduled for release on October 27. The title, developed by the team behind the Yomawari series, is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The update introduces a birthday event where players can receive gifts from villagers with a friendship level of 3 or higher. Additionally, a new seed-sowing tool allows players to plant seeds, seedlings, or fertilizer across a three-square area, which can be further upgraded at an anvil. The update also adds ten new water-related furniture items, including bathtubs, showers, and washbasins, to enhance the player's home.
Accessing these features requires meeting specific conditions, such as reaching the second year and completing the main scenario or specific events. Players will receive a letter once requirements are met, allowing them to set their birthday or purchase new items at the general store. Notably, events will not trigger during certain main scenario segments or on rainy days.
The developer noted that further system improvements, additional scenarios, and maps are currently under consideration for future content.
