Key information
In Final Fantasy Resonance, players can discover ancient weapons and armor that initially possess low statistics. These items can be upgraded into powerful gear by completing specific boss challenges located at the Chamber of Arms, a temple situated north of Dirnado and east of Gronoa.
Upgrading requires defeating level 50 bosses, each featuring two distinct forms. These encounters are described as gimmicky rather than difficult, with the publication noting that these fights are generally easier than the Sephiroth encounter. Players are advised to save their progress before initiating these battles to allow for potential adjustments to their Visions.
Ancient equipment is scattered across the world, with some items found in treasure chests, rewarded from Colosseum battles, or purchased from a roaming merchant ship. Certain pieces require upgrading the airship's scanner using specific items like the Resonance Stone or Magi-tenna, which are found in locations such as Mt. Reizan and Gaberada.
Players should note that some items are locked behind story progression, such as Lasswell's weapon, which is located in the game's final dungeon. Additionally, the merchant ship sells items in a specific sequence, requiring players to purchase available stock to cycle through the inventory.
