Key information

In Final Fantasy Resonance, Visions represent memories of heroes from various dimensions or the game's own world. These entities are essential for optimizing character builds, as they provide unique skill sets that complement a character's existing abilities. While most Visions are protagonists from previous Final Fantasy titles, the roster also includes original characters.

Visions are categorized into five roles: sentinel, commando, breaker, saboteur, and medic. Players can equip one Vision per character outside of combat. Although Visions are not playable and do not take turns, their skills are accessible via the battle menu. Players can upgrade these skills using magicite shards, magicite, or magicite crysts.

Beyond active combat skills, Visions offer mastery bonuses that remain available even when a different Vision is equipped. These are unlocked by earning mastery points through combat, which increases a unit's Mastery Rank. Because Mastery Ranks are not shared, players must independently increase the rank of a specific Vision for each character.

Visions are obtained by locating their sanctums or completing specific side quests tied to story progression. While most are straightforward to acquire, Sephiroth requires a challenging battle after unlocking the airship in Chapter 5. Players can backtrack to previous regions to collect missed Visions, though early acquisition is recommended for campaign assistance.
