CD Projekt Red has announced a significant 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077, coinciding with the release of a new season of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. This update introduces fresh content and technical enhancements for both new and returning players.
The update features Edgerunners-themed additions, including a new side quest, a gear set inspired by Weak Kingsley, and a radio station featuring music from the series. Gameplay changes include a Double Trouble perk for dual-wielding pistols and revolvers, a Richard Night-guided city tour, and improved save management with playthrough-based grouping.
A major addition is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io, accessible via an in-game menu. While specific initial mods remain unconfirmed, the developer intends to expand the selection over time. Technical updates also include DLSS 4.5 support, glasses-free 3D effects, and an FOV slider for console users.
The update arrives October 22nd for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. Availability for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store is scheduled for the days following the initial launch.
