The virtual music group K/DA has officially returned with a new track titled Firestarter. The release features a distinct red and black aesthetic inspired by the visual style of the Netflix series Arcane, marking a departure from the group's previous appearances.
The vocal lineup for this release includes returning members MIYEON and SOYEON from the group (G)I-DLE. They are joined by new contributors Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb, who replace original vocalists Madison Beer and Jaira Burns for this project.
The music video was produced by Fortiche, the studio behind Arcane. The reviewer notes that this collaboration provides a unique visual identity that feels distinct from previous League of Legends cinematics, describing the final product as slick and highly impressive.
According to the reviewer, Firestarter is the strongest of the three tracks released by Riot leading up to Worlds. They suggest the song successfully recaptures the original magic of League of Legends music, potentially surpassing other tracks on their personal playlist.
