Hypixel Studios founder Simon Collins-Laflamme has announced a new incentive for Hytale players. Those who purchase the Cursebreaker Edition will receive an extra free copy of the sandbox RPG for every chapter released leading up to the 1.0 launch. This offer applies to existing accounts that upgrade to the Cursebreaker tier during the Chapter 1 release.
The Cursebreaker Edition is priced at $83.99, significantly higher than the $24.99 standard edition or $41.99 supporter bundle. Collins-Laflamme emphasized that this initiative prioritizes the community, noting that the studio has already secured two years of development funding. Despite the offer, he advises that players should not expect a finished experience yet.
The Chapter 1 update, arriving Monday October 12, introduces significant changes to the sandbox formula. Players can expect a new goblin faction, dungeon raids, and fresh gear like rocket boots and gliders. Combat will be expanded through new runes and items, with the team planning to add hundreds of options to support diverse character builds.
Looking ahead, the studio is developing content across three categories: cozy crafting, combat itemization, and dungeons. With a team now exceeding 100 people, Hypixel Studios aims to integrate these updates before the second chapter. The developer remains focused on delivering a robust adventure-driven experience.
