Key information

The beta testing period for World of Warcraft: Forever has been officially extended until this Friday. Associate production director Clayton Stone announced the update on X, providing players currently experiencing the level 1-30 content additional time before the servers go offline this weekend.

Blizzard is conducting a server stress test today to evaluate the game's performance limits, granting access to individuals who previously lacked beta entry. Following the conclusion of the beta on Friday, players will be able to reserve character names starting next week in preparation for the full release on 4th November.

The extension prompted emotional reactions from the community, as many players had already posted farewell messages anticipating the original end date. Some hunters expressed sadness over dismissing their pets, noting that they will need to capture new companions if they continue playing, losing the history associated with their previous animals.

Despite the bittersweet nature of these departures, the beta has provided a positive initial impression of the upcoming MMO. While the extension offers more playtime for those currently engaged, it remains a difficult situation for fans unable to participate due to work commitments.
