Key information
The PC driving simulation Teach My Little Sister How To Drive, currently in development by Easy Fox, tasks players with instructing an AI-driven sister from the passenger seat. The game has gained significant attention on social media due to the unpredictable and often humorous nature of the AI's responses to player voice commands.
The game's popularity has created unexpected financial strain. Easy Fox reported that demo player numbers increased approximately 20-fold in one month, pushing daily AI service costs to over 1,000 dollars. To maintain operations, the team has resorted to bank loans and is considering an early end to the demo version.
Easy Fox notes that Google Cloud's Gemini 2.5 Flash is the preferred model for its speed and character expression. However, usage limits have forced a reliance on alternative models, which the developer claims negatively impacts the quality of the sister's personality. The team is currently struggling with a dilemma where increasing usage limits requires higher service consumption, which is currently restricted.
While a local AI model has been developed to assist with rapid reactions, the team states that a fully offline version is currently unfeasible due to high hardware requirements, specifically the need for significant VRAM. Easy Fox aims for a 2027 January release, focusing on balancing AI costs and game quality to provide a cohesive experience.
