Sega has unveiled the roadmap for Year 2 of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with the Season Pass 2 launching on November 3, 2026, for $29.99. The base game price has also been permanently reduced to $39.99, while the Deluxe Edition is now $59.99.
A major addition is the 1v1 Duel Mode, which introduces a Duel Boost gauge that fills through item usage to provide speed bursts. Players can engage in Rival Duel matches against CPU opponents, free online matchmaking, competitive Best-of-10 events, or custom friend matches. Additionally, the Grand Master Plate gadget system adds a 7th Super Slot to amplify 1-slot gadget effects, alongside 15 new gadgets.
The roster expands with new free characters, starting with Bayonetta on November 3, 2026, followed by a McLaren Racing machine later that month and Aigis in early 2027. Post-launch characters will now appear as CPU opponents in all modes. Each free character release will be accompanied by a ten-day Limited Time Event Festival.
Year 2 includes six DLC packs featuring collaborations with Godzilla, Evangelion, Sanrio, and Sega franchises, alongside Final Fantasy VII Remake and Persona series content. Season Pass 2 owners gain access to exclusive decals and console-themed machines, while those owning both Season Pass 1 and 2 can unlock Super Shadow.
