Tree of Savior has expanded its roster with the addition of the Officiant, a class described as a pioneer in its naming and mechanics. This new arrival distinguishes itself by utilizing an incense burner to manipulate the battlefield.
The Officiant functions as an area-of-effect caster that focuses on zone control rather than direct confrontation. According to IMCGames, players use smoke rising from a censer to establish ritual zones, effectively cornering enemies and restricting their movement.
Alongside the new class, the developers implemented a significant rework of the archaeology system. The updated loop, titled Forgotten Relics, tasks players with accepting expeditions from an Altar Keeper to locate buried items.
The archaeology process involves using a detector to find relics, navigating through a Relic Portal, and identifying discoveries. These items are then enshrined on the Last Altar to provide buffs for future expeditions.
