On October 20, the CEO of Nura Studios shared an AI-generated video intended as a tribute to the 2009 game Machinarium. The content, which utilized assets from the original title, was quickly removed following significant backlash from the game's developer, Amanita Design.

Amanita Design publicly criticized the project, describing the use of their assets to create AI animations as disgusting. The studio emphasized that genuine tributes should be crafted by hand, explicitly distancing their artistic work from the AI-generated output produced by Nura Studios.

Nura Studios CEO Sylvio Drouin subsequently issued an apology on social media, stating the video was intended as an homage and confirming the deletion of the posts. As of now, Amanita Design has not publicly acknowledged or accepted this apology.

This incident occurs as Amanita Design prepares for the future of the franchise, having recently announced that Machinarium 2 is currently in development.
