Developer Digital Confectioners has released a new demo for the open-world action RPG Keelblade: Legend of the Pirates. Currently available on PC via Steam, the title supports Japanese language and offers both solo and online cooperative play for up to six participants.
The gameplay features a soul-like combat system where players must parry and dodge enemy attacks. Users can customize their playstyle through various weapons, talents, and abilities. Progression involves gathering resources and equipment from monsters and island exploration to build up a personal pirate ship, which serves as a mobile base for crafting facilities like workshops and kitchens.
The latest demo update, coinciding with the Steam Next Fest event, introduces improved character creation options, a revised talent tree with two new additions, and a refreshed UI. Developers have also implemented performance optimizations and new settings that allow players to adjust world rules and difficulty levels.
Formerly known as Triarchy, the game is scheduled for a full release on PC in 2027. Players can currently access the demo to experience the core exploration, combat, and ship-building mechanics as they prepare for more dangerous encounters with legendary bosses in distant waters.
