The upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Forever has sparked significant controversy regarding the Cielonatos, a new race exclusive to the title. Players have expressed dissatisfaction with the character design, arguing that the elves appear too modernized and resemble existing elven races rather than fitting the game's intended return to its classic origins.
In response to community feedback, Blizzard has committed to modifying the Cielonatos' appearance. While these changes will not be ready at launch, the developer plans to introduce both SD and HD versions of the race by early 2027, allowing for a more classic aesthetic reminiscent of the game's design from over 20 years ago.
The Cielonatos can be played as Druids, and their transformation forms are also receiving updates. These adjustments include reduced smoothness, more detailed fur textures, and color saturation tweaks to the HD versions of these forms.
The race is a paid addition priced at 29.99 euros. While current beta participants can access the content, the general public must wait until November 4 to begin their journey in World of Warcraft: Forever.
