Lichthund has announced a creative and publishing partnership with Critical Role for their upcoming rock and roll management RPG, Rockbeasts. This collaboration aims to elevate the project beyond the developers' initial scope, ensuring the final product aligns with their original vision.
In Rockbeasts, players assume the role of a band manager rather than a musician. The gameplay involves navigating the chaotic dynamics of a band, managing resources, and resolving conflicts to guide the group from humble garage beginnings to major concert stages.
The cast will feature Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel, who are officially joining the project to provide voice performances. The developers believe their involvement will bring the necessary energy and commitment to the game's unhinged characters.
Rockbeasts is scheduled for release on PS5 in January 2027. Interested players can currently add the title to their wishlists in anticipation of the launch.
