Key information
PlayStation has officially confirmed that the Pulse Wireless headset is scheduled for release on November 19th. Customers in Australia can begin placing pre-orders for the device starting October 29th at 10:00am AEDT.
The new hardware features a redesigned aesthetic and is available in white or midnight black colorways. It is priced at $159.95 AUD, positioning it as an entry-level option within the updated PlayStation 5 audio lineup.
Technological improvements over the original launch model include the integration of planar magnetic drivers and a built-in microphone equipped with AI noise rejection. Connectivity is facilitated through a USB-C PlayStation Link dongle.
This release follows the announcement of a broader audio range, which also includes the Pulse Edge Wireless Headset. While the standard Pulse model arrives later this year, the more advanced Pulse Edge is not expected until early 2027.
