Koei Tecmo has officially announced a new mystery adventure title based on The Apothecary Diaries, titled The Apothecary Diaries: False Emperor. The game is scheduled for release on March 18, 2027.
Players assume the role of Maomao, who must investigate various mysteries occurring within the imperial court. The core gameplay involves exploring the environment, engaging in dialogue with characters to gather clues, and utilizing Maomao's keen observation and deductive reasoning skills to uncover the truth behind complex incidents.
The game mechanics are built around three primary pillars: exploration, conversation, and compounding.
