Key information

Shochiku Co., Ltd. Game Division and developer Mi’pu’mi Games have announced that the cooperative excavation adventure A Game About Digging A Hole Together will officially release on December 4, 2026. The title was unveiled during the ID@Xbox IGN Showcase.

The game supports up to four players in online cooperative play. Players dig deep into the earth to find treasures, sell resources, and upgrade their equipment to reach even greater depths. The core loop remains focused on digging, selling, and upgrading, though the developers have refined the mechanics to ensure smoother and more stable performance based on player feedback.

This sequel expands on the original title by offering more diverse terrain, additional tools, and more secrets to uncover. It specifically addresses player requests for longer digging sessions and multiplayer functionality, allowing friends to collaborate across different platforms.

A Game About Digging A Hole Together will be priced at 700 yen. It is scheduled for release on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC, as well as on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
