Shochiku Games announced that the cooperative adventure title A Game About Digging A Hole Together will release on December 4, 2026. The game will be available on PC, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S for 700 yen, and it will also be included in the Xbox Game Pass service.
This sequel to the million-selling simulation game A Game About Digging A Hole retains the core loop of excavating, selling findings, and upgrading equipment to reach greater depths. The new entry expands upon this foundation by introducing fresh terrain, additional tools, and various hidden elements.
A significant addition is the support for online cooperative play for up to four participants. The title features cross-platform functionality, allowing users on different hardware to collaborate while digging deep into the underground.
The developers have overhauled the game's structure to ensure smoother and more stable performance. Furthermore, the team incorporated feedback and requests gathered from players of the previous installment into the design of this new release.
