Developer Panstasz has released a significant free content update for the cosmic horror title World of Horror. Titled As Below so Above, the 1.2 patch introduces a variety of new gameplay elements just in time for the Halloween season.
The update expands the game's scope by approximately 20% and introduces a new Scenario Mode. This mode functions as a prequel, allowing players to experience specific narratives, such as the Forest of Fear / Tapes of Tragedy story featuring the character Makoto.
Players can expect two additional old gods, including the entity known as The First Nightmare Ikt-Yosis. Furthermore, the roster of playable characters grows with the inclusion of the hiker Satoshi and a tarot card reader named Kiriko. The update also enhances Steam Workshop modding capabilities.
While the 1.2 patch is currently available for PC users, the developer has not yet confirmed a release schedule for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
