Developer Ludorea games has released a free demo for their upcoming open-world survival title, Monster Girl Survival & Craft 2040, as part of the Steam Next Fest. The game is scheduled to enter Early Access on November 16, 2026, with a retail price of $12.99.
Set in a ruined 2040 cityscape, players must scavenge for resources, construct bases using voxel-based building mechanics, and capture monster girls. These creatures can be sealed into cards to serve as companions for combat or labor within the player's base. The game features a day-night cycle where nocturnal monster girls pose increased threats, including periodic raids every seven days that can damage player structures.
The developer emphasizes a distinct 2D art style, utilizing hand-drawn frames rather than Live2D to achieve specific character perspectives. The current demo includes 14 types of monster girls and allows for unlimited exploration and building, with save data transferable to the full Early Access version. Future updates aim to expand building freedom, add new monster types, and introduce additional camera angles.
The game supports 16 languages and requires a minimum of 8GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB equivalent graphics card. Ludorea games intends to maintain a monthly content update schedule during the planned one-year Early Access period.
