Shueisha Games announced that the upcoming title Hoshin Engi: Gyakumei Shoten will feature its first playable demo at Jump Festa 2027. The event is scheduled to take place on December 19 and 20, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
Developed as a roguelite action game to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original manga, the story is set after the conclusion of the series. Players control To-shin, a new protagonist designed by original creator Ryu Fujisaki, alongside his spirit beast companion, Suzaku Doji. The gameplay involves utilizing various Paopei to defeat powerful enemies while encountering numerous characters from the original work.
Attendees who play the demo and register the game on their wishlist will receive novelty items. The booth will also host stage events featuring special guests to share the latest information, though specific details remain to be announced.
Hoshin Engi: Gyakumei Shoten is slated for release in 2027 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Access to the Jump Festa 2027 venue requires prior application and invitation, with ticket registration currently open through the Jump NAVI app.
