Developer Eksil Team has officially scheduled the release of its martial arts beat-'em-up, Acts of Blood, for Windows PC on Dec. 4. While the title was previously confirmed for PC, the studio also announced that console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are slated to arrive in 2027.
The game follows protagonist Hendra on a quest for vengeance through Bandapa, Indonesia, as he uncovers the group responsible for his family's murder. Gameplay blends counter-based mechanics inspired by Sleeping Dogs with layered combos similar to Sifu, focusing on martial arts mastery against waves of enemies and bosses.
Combat emphasizes improvisation, allowing players to utilize melee weapons, firearms, and environmental hazards. Developer Fajrul FN confirmed the experience prioritizes extreme violence, featuring brutal takedowns, dismemberment, and X-ray kills, drawing visual inspiration from the gritty tones of Max Payne and Manhunt.
A demo currently available on Steam has garnered over 1,500 Very Positive reviews. Players have praised the title for its weighty combat, meaningful combos, and high-quality animations, with some noting the experience effectively captures the intensity of action films like The Raid.
