Developer Yoake Lab has launched a demo for their upcoming text-based adventure game, Yoru no Namae, as part of the Steam Next Fest event.
The narrative is set in a local arcade during the year 2000, focusing on the culture surrounding music games of that era. The story follows two girls who reunite after 10 years to uncover the truth behind a past event, using a communal communication notebook found in the arcade to bridge their memories and resolve emotional misunderstandings.
The game features original background music composed by .THi (Hiroshi Takeyasu), a veteran of early arcade rhythm games, and TAG, known for their work as a director and composer for dance-based music titles. Players can also access a sound room to listen to these tracks in high quality.
