Q-Games has announced it will publish the two-player cooperative horror game Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch in Asia. Developed by the French studio Atlantis Studio, the title is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22 for 2480 yen.

The game features asymmetric gameplay where one player acts as an explorer in first-person, while the other serves as a monitor. The explorer navigates a mansion to solve puzzles and escape the entity known as the Gloom. Meanwhile, the monitor uses surveillance systems, documents, and tactical tools to guide their partner from behind the scenes.

Success depends on constant communication, as neither player possesses all necessary information. Miscommunication or missed details can endanger the partner, and loud noises may attract the Gloom. The game features music by Oscar Araujo and includes the participation of actor Troy Baker, with further details on his role expected later.

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch supports local play, local network, and online play. It also offers a shared-controller mode, which allows players to connect a second console, including the original Nintendo Switch, to the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Store page is set to launch on the release date.
