Key information

Q-Games has announced it will publish the two-player asymmetric horror game Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch for the Asian market. Developed by Atlantis Studio, the title is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026, with a price of 2,480 yen.

The gameplay requires two players to cooperate to escape a mysterious mansion. One player acts as an explorer navigating in first-person, while the other serves as a monitor using security cameras and tactical tools to guide their partner. The experience emphasizes communication and trust, as players must avoid a creature known as the Gloom.

The game features contributions from voice actor Troy Baker and composer Oscar Araujo. Because neither player possesses all necessary information, poor communication or loud noises can lead to fatal consequences for the team.

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch supports local, local wireless, and online play. It also includes a feature allowing two players to connect using one copy of the software across two consoles, including the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The Nintendo Store page will launch on October 22, 2026.
