Independent developer Inkmoon has updated the demo for its idle hack-and-slash title, MindGate CornerGet. This version now features the new Night Parade gameplay mode and introduces the Key Guardian boss for the second act. The demo is scheduled to participate in the Steam Next Fest, running from October 20 at 01:00 to October 27 at 01:00 Taiwan time.
The game functions as an idle looter where chibi heroes battle waves of enemies along a narrow horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen. Players manage equipment and skill configurations periodically, while the core combat progression occurs automatically in the corner of the display.
In the Night Parade mode, players must protect a torii gate from waves of yokai for approximately 90 seconds. During this event, enemies ignore the heroes and target the gate directly. Defensive stats and skills are converted into protective power for the structure. Players can attempt the first five nights in the current demo, with rewards stored in a dedicated chest regardless of whether the defense succeeds.
The full version of MindGate CornerGet is planned for release in the first quarter of 2027 as a free-to-play title. It is developed by inkmoon_dev for Windows 10 64-bit systems.
