Hamster Corporation has announced the upcoming release of Raiden Project as part of its Console Archives series. The title is scheduled for digital distribution on October 22, 2026.
Originally launched by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1995 for 32-bit home consoles, the game features both Raiden and Raiden II. Players take on the role of pilots operating high-altitude combat bombers to defend Earth against an invading extraterrestrial life form.
The Console Archives series aims to faithfully recreate classic titles for modern hardware. Players can utilize convenient features such as button and screen customization, alongside save and load functionality available at any point during gameplay.
The release is priced at 1200 yen including tax and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. The software is limited to the domestic Japanese version, with all in-game text provided exclusively in Japanese.
