Developer FORCES announced that the asymmetric multiplayer horror title Hide-and-Seek Horror is scheduled for release on Steam on January 28, 2027. Pricing for the game remains unannounced.
The game features matches lasting 3 minutes where four children attempt to evade one player acting as the ghost. Children utilize a shadow-hiding ability to vanish in darkness, while the ghost possesses an ability to detect players through walls. Players must balance the benefits of using walkie-talkies for coordination against the risk of the ghost overhearing their communications.
Each side offers characters with distinct performance traits, and children can use snacks to counter the ghost. Tactical depth is provided by character combinations, and matches conclude with a unique feature where participants take a commemorative spirit photograph together.
A demo is currently available following its appearance at the Steam Next Fest. Based on feedback, the developers are improving tutorials, adding items and photo types, and expanding world-building through scenarios and collectibles. Future updates will also include new maps.
