Developer Absolutely Games and publisher Secret Mode officially launched the tile-based puzzle game Fangtopia on the 26th. The title invites players to construct their own kingdoms within a cozy atmosphere populated by ghosts and fairies.
The core gameplay involves using a limited stack of hexagonal tiles to build diverse environments such as fields, forests, and mountains. Players earn points by placing these tiles, which can unlock unique landmarks. Completing specific objectives for these landmarks grants additional tiles, while summoning monsters through mysterious portals to provide them with suitable habitats further increases scoring potential.
Fangtopia features three distinct play modes to accommodate different styles. The standard mode offers a relaxed experience, while the Ghoulish mode increases complexity with a larger tile count. Additionally, the Island mode allows players to peacefully construct expansive railway networks.
The game is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Stove, as well as on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Players can track their progress and view unlocked monsters or landmarks in a dedicated stickerbook. Future content updates are scheduled for later this year and beyond.
