To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise, Valve and Crystal Dynamics have significantly reduced the price of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy on Steam. The bundle, which previously cost 71,98€, is now available for 7,17€, representing a 90% discount.
The compilation includes three titles detailing the origins of Lara Croft. Players receive the 2013 Tomb Raider Game of the Year edition, which depicts the protagonist's survival on Yamatai, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration set in Siberia, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, which concludes the narrative arc in Peru.
Looking toward the future, Crystal Dynamics is developing two upcoming titles. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for 2027, followed by Tomb Raider: Catalyst in 2028. These projects aim to blend the modern survivor aesthetic with the character's original 1996 persona.
Developer Brendon Bengston noted that the studio intends to utilize advanced technology to create a realistic Lara Croft while maintaining her iconic appearance. Narrative director John Stafford emphasized that the character must always convey a sense of preparedness for the challenges ahead.
