Square Enix recently released a gameplay video for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, highlighting Cloud Strife riding a pink Chocobo. This footage provides a look at the bird navigating the outskirts of Midgar, a setting reimagined for this upcoming title.
The mechanics shown in the clip feature the Chocobo performing jumps, air dashes, and gliding maneuvers. During the traversal, the player can collect Moogle plush items while moving through mountainous terrain, expanding on the traditional movement capabilities associated with different Chocobo colors in the series.
Beyond Chocobo traversal, the developer confirmed that various elements from the original PlayStation 1 release and previous remake entries will return. Notably, the piano-playing minigame is slated to be included in the new installment.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled for release on April 8, 2027. The game will be available on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms.
