Gaijin Entertainment has officially announced that its hardcore shooter, Active Matter, has surpassed 500,000 copies sold globally. This milestone includes sales across Steam, Gaijin.Net, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
The title features a blend of realistic military combat and supernatural threats, offering PvE, PvP, and PvPvE gameplay modes. Since its release in September, the developer noted that the majority of the player base is currently concentrated on Xbox.
Anton Yudintsev, co-founder of Gaijin Entertainment, stated that sales have remained stable since launch rather than experiencing the typical initial spike seen in many premium titles. He attributed this long-term performance to the game's hardcore nature and a committed community.
Looking ahead, the studio plans to expand the experience over the coming years. A major content update is scheduled to arrive before the end of this year, introducing new maps, weapons, monsters, bosses, and visual enhancements.
