Users on the GBAtemp forums have identified a new exploit for the Nintendo Switch 2 that enables full access to the console's file system. This method allows individuals to dump both system firmware and game data directly onto a PC.

The process involves manipulating the console's memory to gain control over the file system. While previous methods utilized the SmileBASIC4 application, this latest discovery provides significantly broader capabilities for file extraction.

Although the current exploit does not grant kernel-level access, it is expected to expedite future reverse-engineering and emulation efforts. The vulnerability is confirmed to function on firmware version 23.0.1, though Nintendo is anticipated to release a patch shortly.

While the ability to dump games facilitates easier modding and piracy, these titles cannot currently be played on PC without a functional emulator. This development highlights the ongoing challenges console manufacturers face regarding system security.
