Key information

Pearl Abyss has announced its first DLC for Crimson Desert, titled Crimson Desert Enhanced: Unknown Journey, scheduled for release on October 30. This expansion continues the narrative following the main game's conclusion, allowing players to follow the individual paths of Cliff, Demian, and Unka after their battle to protect Pywel alongside the Greymane.

The DLC expands gameplay by introducing new exploration mechanics, including oceanic travel. Players can construct or purchase ships to navigate the seas surrounding Pywel, enabling them to reach distant islands, establish new outposts, and secure trade routes by defeating hostile factions. Additionally, underwater exploration is now possible, featuring new aquatic traversal methods like using sea creatures or propulsion devices to discover sunken ruins and treasures.

Beyond combat and exploration, the expansion adds depth to daily life in Pywel. Players can now build relationships with residents, leading to romance or marriage, and manage specific facilities like restaurants or smithies to generate resources. Housing systems have also been improved, allowing for structural customization of homes and the ability to decorate castles obtained through specific quests.

For experienced players, the DLC introduces the Garden of Trials, a combat-focused challenge where players face bosses encountered during the main campaign. Access to this content, along with specific character-driven quests and the new oceanic features, requires completion of the main story or specific narrative milestones within the game.
