Key information

The team behind the Fallout: The New West project recently released a new Pip-Boy design for Fallout: New Vegas. This release coincides with October 23rd, a date recognized in the Fallout universe as the day the bombs dropped. The new device is based on original design documents from Van Buren, the cancelled third entry in the series.

Known as the Lil Pip 3000, this model was originally worn by inmates in the Tibbets Prison. Within the game, players can locate the device near Nipton, where it was left by an unnamed ranger. The Pip-Boy functions like standard versions and remains compatible with various existing mods that enhance the device's features.

A notable feature of the Lil Pip 3000 is its custom animation, which allows the lid to flip up when the player accesses the interface. While the design is less blocky than traditional Pip-Boys and carries a aesthetic reminiscent of a children's toy, it is intended to appear durable enough for combat scenarios.

The release also includes a Wattz Weapon Pack featuring five laser guns, such as a burst pistol from Van Buren. These weapons include custom animations and can be distributed throughout the Capital Wasteland if using the Tale of Two Wastelands mod. Installation requires several plugins, including the New Vegas Script Extender and kNVSE Animation Plugin.
