German developer byKaleb is set to release the relaxing sandbox title Drawquarium on Steam. While the demo has been available since April, the full version is scheduled to launch on November 13, 2026. The game features a Traditional Chinese interface and aims to provide a tranquil underwater experience.
Players can design their own fish, plants, and various objects like submarines or skyscrapers using a mouse or Wacom tablet. The game also allows for the import of PNG files, enabling users to animate their own drawings or children's artwork. For those less confident in their artistic skills, the game provides pre-made templates and creatures.
The creatures within the aquarium exhibit complex behaviors, including forming friendships, competing, or finding mates to reproduce. Players must feed and care for their fish, which can result in a metallic sheen and the collection of golden scales. These scales are used to unlock customization options such as lighting, substrate colors, and decorative items.
Drawquarium includes a dynamic wallpaper mode, allowing the aquarium to run on the desktop while users work. Additionally, the software integrates productivity tools like a task manager, a journal for notes, and a focus timer to help users balance relaxation with daily responsibilities.
