Newegg is currently offering a significant $1,070 discount on the Alienware Aurora ACT1250 gaming desktop, bringing the price down to $2,199.99. This pre-built system is positioned as a 4K-capable machine designed to handle modern gaming titles for the foreseeable future.
The rig is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, which features 6,144 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 192-bit bus. The system also includes 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage. Processing duties are handled by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF, a 20-core Arrow Lake CPU that offers a max boost clock speed of 5.5 GHz.
Performance-wise, the RTX 5070 is noted for delivering high frame rates at 1080p and solid results at 1440p, though demanding titles may require graphical adjustments. Users can utilize Nvidia DLSS with multi-frame generation to improve performance at 4K resolutions. While the included CPU is considered a solid performer, it is noted that it does not compete with top-tier AMD alternatives.
This promotion provides a more cost-effective alternative to purchasing directly from Dell. The inclusion of 32GB of DDR5 memory ensures no compromises in that category, while the 1TB SSD provides sufficient space for several large AAA game installations.
