The pixel art horror RPG Look Outside is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 on October 30, 2026. Developed by Francis Coulombe and published by Devolver Digital, the title centers on a mysterious event that turns the world outside an apartment building into a nightmare.
Gameplay involves exploring the building to scavenge for food and improvised weapons while encountering grotesque creatures. The combat system utilizes turn-based mechanics where the distance between the player and enemies is a critical tactical factor.
Players will face over 150 distinct monsters and approximately a dozen bosses. Between excursions, users can return to their apartment to cook, craft tools, play games, and befriend neighbors who may eventually join as companions.
The experience is estimated to last between 10 and 12 hours. The narrative features multiple endings determined by player decisions. While the console versions launch this October, the game has been available on PC via Steam since March 2025.
