Key information

Amazon Games released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on October 24 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Lara Croft. The remake, which is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, has been delayed and is now scheduled for release on February 12, 2027.

The title introduces modern gameplay mechanics to update the original 1996 experience. Players will utilize a Focus system to slow down action, alongside a progression system, skill trees, and resource gathering for crafting. These features align the remake with the design philosophy of the modern trilogy released between 2013 and 2018.

Developers aim to balance accessibility with the original game's sense of exploration and platforming. The remake will feature iconic moments, such as Lara's fatal errors in the Midas Palace level. Additionally, Alix Wilton Regan has been cast as the new voice for Lara Croft, replacing Camilla Luddington.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is slated to launch on February 12, 2027. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
