Northern Studio released the first-person action roguelike Abyss Ring on Steam today, October 26, 2026. The title is currently available for 1950 yen, though a launch sale offers a 15 percent discount until November 9, bringing the price down to 1657 yen.
The core gameplay involves exploring procedurally generated dungeons while managing hunger by cooking meals from defeated monsters. Players must strategically choose which ingredients to gather and consume, as these meals provide various benefits beyond satiation, such as HP and MP recovery or increased experience point gains.
The game features over 200 unique recipes, including options like Orc Tonkatsu, Minotaur Bowl, Slime Jelly, and Dragon Steak. Progression relies on returning to town to convert earned experience into skill points, which permanently enhance combat abilities despite the player's level resetting to one upon each return.
This official release expands upon the previous trial version by adding new monsters, equipment, and additional dungeon floors. Players are encouraged to venture into the abyss to discover what awaits at the deepest level.
