Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a significant resurgence in player activity, recently securing a spot among the top 10 most-played titles on Steam. This surge follows the release of the 2.5 update and the debut of the second season of the Edgerunners series on Netflix.
The game reached a peak of 187,215 concurrent players, marking its highest activity level in three years since the 2.0 version launch. While this remains below the historical peaks of over one million and 274,000 users seen previously, it stands as the third-highest figure recorded since the game's initial release.
Paweł Sasko, the mission director, expressed his gratitude on X, thanking the community for their engagement in Night City. He also highlighted the importance of modding, noting that over 2.8 million creations have been downloaded via Mod.io, representing the largest launch in the platform's history.
The game remains available on Steam with a 70% discount, priced at 17.99 euros, while the Ultimate edition including the Phantom Liberty expansion is offered at 33.10 euros. These promotional prices are scheduled to remain active until 19:00.
