Amazon officially announced that a new reality competition series titled Fallout Shelter: The Experiment will debut on Prime Video on January 13, 2027. This production is based on the Fallout Shelter video game franchise.
The show features participants living together within a simulated underground Vault. Throughout the series, contestants must compete in challenges designed to test their proficiency in the seven core S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.
Beyond physical and mental trials, the program evaluates the social dynamics of the residents. Factors such as cooperation, personal loyalty, and overall popularity among the group will play a significant role in the competition.
The ultimate winner of the reality show will be awarded a substantial cash prize for being the final survivor. The announcement was confirmed by Prime Video on October 23, 2026, following Amazon's formal disclosure on October 24, 2026.
