Square Enix released new information on October 26, 2026, regarding Romancing SaGa 3 Destiny United. The update focuses on character profiles, core gameplay mechanics, and combat systems for the title, which is slated for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
The character reveal highlights five individuals, including the wanderer Tatiana, voiced by Saho Shirasuna, and Muse, a former noblewoman from Pidona voiced by Kurumi Orihara. Muse is accompanied by her bodyguard, the former captain Charles, voiced by Ryuichi Kijima.
Gameplay features include a reputation system where players earn points by completing events to unlock ability slots and increased combo counts. Players can also develop and modify equipment at the Pidona workshop by spending materials and aurum. Combat mechanics introduce new formations like Sanga-jin and Rampage Horn, alongside a mastery system that allows characters to teach learned skills and techniques to others.
